At Hello Santé, we’re here to help you feel less overwhelmed and more empowered as you navigate the French healthcare system. Whether you’ve just arrived in France or have been here a while but still feel unsure about the admin side of healthcare, our job is to make the process easier, clearer, and more human.

Here’s what we do:

  • Help you register with the French healthcare system (CPAM, Ameli, PUMA, etc.)

  • Support you in applying for your Carte Vitale

  • Explain paperwork, letters, and procedures in plain English

  • Assist you in booking appointments with doctors, specialists, hospitals, or clinics

  • Help you understand reimbursements, top-up insurance (mutuelle), and medical costs

  • Offer guidance on accessing services like mental health support, medical transport, or maternity care

  • Be a calm, friendly presence who can explain things step by step, at your pace

And just as importantly, here’s what we don’t do:

 

  • We don’t give medical advice. We’re not doctors, nurses, or medical practitioners in this role, so we won’t diagnose or recommend treatments.

  • We don’t choose healthcare providers for you. We’ll help you understand your options, but the choice is always yours.

  • We don’t interfere in medical decisions. That’s between you and your healthcare team.

  • We don’t act as translators during medical appointments. But we’ll help you prepare questions, understand key terms, and follow up afterward with confidence.

We’re here to help you feel informed, supported, and a little more at home in the French system—without the stress and confusion that bureaucracy can bring. Think of us as your friendly healthcare satnav: we don’t drive the car, but we help you find the best route.

Co-founders Lisa and Lois combine practical know-how with a personal touch to help English speakers in France feel supported and informed every step of the way. With Lisa’s background as a holistic practitioner and seasoned expat, and Lois’s training as a French nurse with hands-on experience in the public health system, we bridge the gap between confusing French paperwork and the care you deserve.
